Co-Active Coaching Overview
When to be Coached:
Wanting to make a major change personally or professionally.
When in a forced transition that is sapping your energy.
Having a goal or objective you really want to achieve.
Faced with a fear or self doubt that keeps you from moving forward.
In a difficult relationship that is destroying your confidence.
Four fundamentals in Co-active coaching:
1. The coaching session is about what YOU want. YOU control the agenda.
2. Confidentiality is honored by both you and coach
3. Coaching is a process, not an event, often ”dancing in the moment”.
4. Coaching is focused on YOUR whole future: personally and professionally.
Coaching Commitment:
Each coaching session ends with a next step for the client: to “deepen the learning” or “forwarding the action.”
What is Coaching?
Coaching is about bringing the client’s future (dreams, etc) into the present.
Coaching is trusting a professional coaching friend to go along on the important journey the client desires to make into his/her future (dreams, goals, ambitions). The coach champions the client: challenging, encouraging, inquiring, suggesting, and addressing the self doubt and fears that may sabotage the client; and celebrating the successes of the client all along the way.
